Dr. David Locastro received his medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine and completed his residency at SUNY Health Science Center. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine.
One of the first physicians in the country to use laser treatment of varicose veins, Dr. Locastro has dedicated his practice exclusively to vein treatment since 2002. He was among the first groups of physicians to be certified by the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine and has performed thousands of vein treatments.
Dr. Locastro is a board certified general surgeon specializing in the treatment of varicose and spider veins. Among his numerous credentials, Dr. David Locastro is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), a Registered Vascular Technician (RVT) and a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI). As the director of the Locastro Vein Center, Dr. Locastro has extensive experience with multiple techniques including laser ablation, foam sclerotherapy, microphlebectomy, and diagnostic ultrasound.
In Dr. Locastro's free time he enjoys gardening, watching his children play sports, and going on medical mission trips.
